Combined with the new UA Gunner feat, it seems to open the door for a lot (like using a blunderbuss in the main-hand): Ignore the loading property of firearms.

2020年12月6日 · I would apply the Close Combatant feature only to pistol-style weapons. It reinforces their niche and encourages those who favor longarms to carry a backup piece. I'm also of the opinion that Reloading should not be a bonus action- it's an object interaction, and you can do one of those for free every round.

Choose the regular pistol. If you have anything useful at all do with your bonus actions, it's better to have to reload after 4 shots than use both your action and bonus action every turn. With the palm pistol, you would essentially be trading 5 bonus actions to make a single attack. And you don't get the attack until round 5.

2021年11月13日 · So im playing a lvl5 artillerist with access to world with guns and firearm proficiency. I was wandering whats the use for light property on a gun since its not a mele weapon and crossbow expert works only light crossbow. Is there a point for palm pistol?

2021年9月30日 · The firearm specialist feat is designed for Matt mercers firearms, and is the palm pistol equivalent of crossbow expert, generalized to light ranged weapons. My understanding is that as an action, they fire their (custom 1 handed) blunderbuss and their palm pistol, then use the above feat for a bonus action shot

2023年2月10日 · The palm swells are very similar in profile to the stock rubber grips so if you like the feel of the stock grips you'll probably like palm swells. I prefer a more rounded grip that, well, fills my palms and that's what the stock grips and Lok palm swells do.

2021年11月13日 · Concealed palm pistol What is the difference in terms of gameplay? Obviously I can imagine that a better knife cut meat better than a blunt blade, but what in terms of positioning, clocks or advantages? All items in Blades are pieces of fiction. It's very unusual for Blades items to have specific rules. A gun does what a gun does.

2023年2月7日 · So in your example, the 1d8 is the 'base' stats of the weapon, and the '+4' comes from the player's modifier. A palm pistol uses DEX. So I can conclude that the player's DEX mod is +4, therefore their DEX score is either 18 or 19.
