The Panzerkampfwagen 38 (t), originally known as the Českomoravská Kolben-Daněk (ČKD) LT vz. 38, was a tank designed during the 1930s, which saw extensive service during World War II. [3] . Developed in Czechoslovakia by ČKD, the type was adopted by Nazi Germany following the German occupation of Czechoslovakia. [3] .

In the summer of 1941, the Red Army subjected the captured Pz 38(t) version E from the 20th Panzer Division to shooting tests. The photo clearly shows the division of the front lower hull armour after a shot from a 45 mm gun at a distance of 500 meters.

The Czech-designed Panzer 38(t) saw extensive service with the German Army during WWII. The chassis was also used in other vehicles, including self-propelled assault and antitank guns. The new 9.5-ton tank was fitted with a Skoda turret armed with an A7 37.2mm (47.8-caliber) gun.
