Pappu Lab
2025年1月24日 · We work on uncovering the physical principles that underlie how proteins and nucleic acids are organized in space and time within cells. This work has a strong focus on macromolecular phase transitions. We also work on uncovering sequence-ensemble-function relationships of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs).

Rohit Pappu - Research Profiles at Washington University School …
Research in the Pappu lab is focused on intrinsically disordered proteomes. Multiscale modeling approaches and biophysical tools are used in this research. Eukaryotic proteomes are enriched in proteins that function despite being unable to fold autonomously into well defined three-dimensional structures.

CIDER is a webserver being developed by the Pappu Lab for calculating parameters relating to disordered protein sequences. Specifically, this will calculate various parameters which help translate primary sequence information into better understanding how the unstructured ensemble might behave, as well as annotating your sequence on the diagram ...

Phase Transitions of Associative Biomacromolecules
2023年7月26日 · Here, we review the key concepts of phase transitions of aqueous solutions of associative biomacromolecules, specifically proteins that include folded domains and intrinsically disordered regions. The phase transitions of these systems come under the rubric of coupled associative and segregative transitions.
