2021年7月3日 · Hi, got a 2018 Passat GTE, just noticed yesterday a tapping / knocking noise coming from the engine. There are no warning lights on dash and I checked oil level which was ok. it seems to be coming from the cam belt housing and can sound as though something is hitting the plastic cover. It gets fast as you Rev the engine.

It seemed a bit silly to drag the extra weight of fuel around for over a month. My daily commute is 30 miles to work, recharge during the day and 30 home again.

2021年3月5日 · I did 44k miles in my Passat GTE in 2.5 years and the only issue I had was an intermittently blank infotainment screen that was replaced under warranty. A really fantastic car. If yours has been repaired at main dealer then new parts such as mechatronic unit should come with a warranty, I wouldn’t worry unduly.
