A passerine (/ ˈ p æ s ə r aɪ n /) is any bird of the order Passeriformes (/ ˈ p æ s ə r ɪ f ɔːr m iː z /; from Latin passer 'sparrow' and formis '-shaped') which includes more than half of all bird species.
