Pa'u riders (pronounced pah-oo riders), [1] (sometimes written as pa-u riders), are wahine (Hawaiian for 'women') horseback riders who wear long, colorful skirts (Hawaiian: pāʻū) and characteristically ride astride, rather than sidesaddle.
