KUALA LUMPUR, 7 December 2022 – PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, today announced an oil and gas discovery at the Nahara-1 well in Block SK306, located in the shallow waters of Balingian Province about 150 kilometres from Bintulu, off the coast of Sarawak, offshore Malaysia.

NC3 is part of PETRONAS Carigali Sarawak Gas Asset located approximately 200km away from Bintulu Shore. Its designed for 600 MMscfd, NC3 is the biggest gas producing field in Malaysia with total reserves of 3 Tscf. NC3 Platform complex consist of one Central Processing Platform and one Wellhead Platform with 5 nos of wells.

NC3 will be made the hub for the SK316 gas development which includes future NC8 Wellhead platform. NC3 Complex comprise of a Central Processing Platform with Living Quarters and bridge linked Drilling Platform. There will be a future Compressor Platform bridge linked to the Central Processing Platform.
