One might be able to connect the dots between Pelor's farming and harvesting, which deal with the cycle of the seasons, and Lathander's theme of renewal.

Furthermore, Complete Divine has, for example, the following (p.117): As befits a sun god, Pelor’s major festivals take place on solstices and equinoxes, and many weddings and rites of passage take place on the cusp of a new season.

In my game the god "Amaunator" plays a huge role, but on the FR-Wiki page it says that Lathander and Amaunator are actually the same (no word about that in the Book).
