2011年3月12日 · Super Blue works better on a polished surface. Perma Blue will streak and may take more than one or two passes on a polished surface. I use a Q-tip to apply to a small area. Let it sit for about a minute and wipe it off with a damp piece of cloth and when I'm satisfied, I oil it.

2004年2月27日 · The Blue Wonder "cold" blue is applied to a heated surface making it not really a cold blue, I guess. I've used the Perma-Blue paste on parts I've heated in boiling water and the bluing has held up well since.

2011年6月21日 · Cold blues can and DO leave permanent stains in the original bluing. Because of the acid in cold blue, the cold blue will attack the original blue. This is why you have to be extremely careful when touching up scratches on a blued gun. The cold blue will get on the original hot blue and leaves a stain around the area the cold blue contacted.
