Winemaking at Petrolo, since the second half of the 80’s has been aiming to produce wines with character, connected to our territory thanks to vines of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Galatrona is the “ Grand-Cru ” of Merlot by Petrolo, only made with the grapes from the vineyard of the same name planted between the end of the 80’s and half of the 90’s with low vigor bordeaux clones.

The Petrolo 2020 Galatrona is a pure expression of organic Merlot and the estate's headline wine. It was first created in 1994 when Luca Sanjust's second child, Lucia, was born.
