2016年5月18日 · My other Pfaff which is a 545 High lift, sews with a v91 thread. I keep it set up that way. It sews mostly vinyl, banner and tarp material, sunbrealla, and leather, and multiple layers of jean fabric. The v69 thread will be used in the Pfaff 138 mostly for applying patches, sewing curtains, sewing upholstery weight fabrics.

2020年8月20日 · Hello, I have extensively reviewed the manual for the Pfaff 138-6/01 (my personal current machine). I am wondering if anyone has found a way so the needle will not move, when winding the bobbin. (I know usually one is able to adjust this on the hand wheel.) Can keep this forum open for all questions regarding Pfaff 138!!

2024年12月9日 · I have a large collection of high shank industrial presser feet from my old Singer 31K that would be great to use but none of them fit. The original Pfaff 138 presser feet are way taller than regular high shank industrial presser feet, and although I have tried lowering the needle bar - the distance is just too great to bridge the gap.

2023年3月21日 · Not long ago I found this machine (Pfaff 138) and gave it a complete teardown, a full clean and completely serviced it. As you can see from the picture, I also made it ‘portable’. I found some servo motor from China, instead of using an under table motor. I just had to make some modified foot pedal to operate it.

2018年10月24日 · Lots of rust, even on the hook and presser foot bar. Lots of unusual scratches behind the hook - seems someone tried "something". Often the ZZ mechanism is gummed up on Pfaff 138´s and you need patients to free it (heat gun and oiling until it works again). 20 bucks if you like restoring machines and hunting for spare parts.
