What's a good Pico PSU? : r/sffpc - Reddit
May 16, 2021 · Mini-box and HdPlex are well regarded, tried and tested pico style psu. Pico psu is actually a brand name. But pico-style psu all work on the same principle: They split the traditional atx psu into two parts: A power-brick which converts your house's alternative 220v/120v AC power to continous 19v or 12v DC power. And a small pcb (the actual pico psu) which usually plug …
Need a 300w power brick for my Pico PSU... help? : r/sffpc - Reddit
Apr 22, 2023 · I use a PicoPSU in my SFF, but don't trust the ratings on PicoPSUs. There's a reason you can't find a power brick. Because there's no possible way that thing can put out 300W. The input voltage is 12V. That means it needs 25 amps... 5.5mm barrel jacks like the ones on PicoPSUs are rated for a maximum of 11 amps, aka 132W @ 12V. Typically electronics are a …

Apr 24, 2023 · I use an RGEEK PicoPSU in my build. You'd definitely have to power limit the CPU and undervolt both CPU and GPU. Most PicoPSUs use a 5.5x2.5 barrel connector which is the big downfall of them. They throw some crazy 200W+ rating on them, but the connector is only rated for 132W.
PicoPSU's - Will they work? : r/originalxbox - Reddit
Jun 21, 2019 · Not a deal breaker for a PC supply as they provide more than one Molex connector for hard drives, etc. Update: the picoPSU doesn't provide enough current for 5Vdc (1/2 that required by the Xbox for typical and peak currents) and more than enough for 12Vdc and 3.3Vdc. You can't just plug it into the Xbox's power supply connector. The voltage levels on the various …

Any thoughts on the (design) quality of this PicoPSU for PS1?
Jun 30, 2021 · After some negative feedback on PicoPSU that are poorly designed and implemented (e.g. Voultar noting that the basic DreamPSU for Dreamcast is everything but dependable, etc.), I'm a bit hesitant about choosing one. Hope somebody a bit more knowledgable can shed some light on the probable quality of this specific unit.
PSU Efficiency - 300w PSU vs 100w Pico PSU : r/HomeServer - Reddit
Feb 10, 2022 · Hello, my questions is basically in the topic. I have currently 300w PSU for server that is idling most of the time on 22-30w. Maximum power consumption I got this month is less than 80w. Would you recommend to buy 100w Pico PSU to lower even more the power consumption due to PSU efficiency since 300w PSU have a big overhead imho?
PicoPSU As Passive Alternative for ATX/SFX/FLEX : r/sffpc - Reddit
Mar 8, 2018 · PicoPSU's only convert 12V to 12V, 5V, 3.3V and sometimes -12V. You still need a power brick (usually external) that converts 110V or 220V to 12V. In small builds, this might make sense, since there is not space for a bigger power supply, but when there is enough space, there is little reason to have extra external components. One reason could be noise, but silent ATX …
