Doing a painted pinstripe FIRST before the basecoat makes the job so much easier. No masking involved. No trying to get the width of the pinstripe correct. Using the width of the fineline is a 100% way to ensure the correct and consistent width of your pinstripes.

2014年2月28日 · Pix attached of genuine Inter tank. Factory paint and pins. The pin is about 1/8" away from the edge line of the tank. This is not exact, it changes as you follow the pin around. The thickness of the pin also changes, never being wider than an eighth but often being less. Since the petrol cap opens backwards, it would seem to me to be a pre-MkIII.

2009年12月28日 · The real difficulty with the Commando tank (850) is that the stripes merge from two to one. That would be tough to accomplish with the striping kit. Plus, the sharp curve at the front of the tank, getting the lines parallel and evenly spaced both sides: That takes a skill level that you're unlikely to pick up in a weekend's practicing, IMHO!
