Jul 11, 2016 · If you need to have a certain distance between the handle and the cylinder, I recommend to start to create a two-dimensional projection of the cylinder and the handle on the XY plane with the required distance, and then turn everything into a 3D solids by sweeping circles along centrelines paths of the cylinder and the handle.

Use Intersect Faces to intersect the face with the faces of the cylinder. Then erase what you don’t need. Or you could get BoolTools 2 and do the same sort of thing that can be done with the Solid Tools.
