Piper Cars was a United Kingdom manufacturer of specialist sports cars (an associate company of a camshaft and engine tuning parts manufacturer of the same name). The company was initially based in Hayes, then in Kent, with production taking place from 1968 at Wokingham, Berkshire and from 1973 at South Willingham, Lincolnshire.

It featured a monocoque construction with a chassis made from end-grain Balsa Wood, sandwiched in fiberglass to make a strong yet very light structure. Today, Bill’s P2 is one of 57 Piper road cars (out of a total production of around 80) known to survive, with examples being found as far afield as the USA and Japan. And thanks to the Piper Sports and Racing Car Club, the marque continues to enjoy a strong and eye-catching presence at classic car shows throughout Britain.
