Piz Lunghin (2,780 m) is a mountain in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, located in the Albula range, overlooking the Maloja Pass. It is considered as the "roof of Europe" as the peak is nearby the triple watershed of the Lunghin pass.

Piz Lunghin is the southernmost mountain of the Albula Alps located right above Maloja pass and thus above Oberengadin in its north-east and Val Bregaglia in its south-east. It is one of the lowest mountains of the group but its exposed loacation above the pass makes it a perfect lookout for the mountains around.

Die Wanderung vom Malojapass, dem Übergang zwischen Engadin und Bergell zum Piz Lunghin (2.780 m) führt zu den Quellen des Inn in Graubünden. Bereits beim Aufstieg wird man mit fantastischen Ausblicken über das Oberengadin und die Seen belohnt.

Con questa escursione andiamo a toccare un lago, un pizzo e un passo che portano tutti il nome di "Lunghin". E' un'escursione dal tracciato panoramico e adatta a tutti (almeno fino al lago e al passo, un poco più impegnativa la salita al Piz Lunghin).

In fact, Piz Lunghin is known as one of the most panoramic mountains, rising on the border of Engadin and Bergell mountains. The summer and autumn ascents are quite easy, only just on top they require some care and a safe step. Two hiking routes are described here.

Piz Lunghin (9,121 feet, 2,780 metres) is a mountain in the Swiss canton of Graubünden in the Albula range. The starting point for the walk is the Swiss ski resort of Maloja which is situated at the upper end of the Engadin (east) and Bregaglia (west) valleys.

This hike brings us to a lake, a peak and a pass which all bear the name "Lunghin". It is a panoramic route, suitable for everyone (at least up to the lake and the pass, while the climb to Piz Lunghin is a little more challenging).

The Piz Lunghin trail run gets you high above the Engadin's turquoise lakes for a great trail run and peak climb above Maloja.

2020年9月3日 · Der Piz Lunghin thront mit seinen 2.780 Metern über dem kleinen OrtMaloja in der Gemeinde Bregaglia im Kanton Graubünden. Der Gipfel gehört zur Lagrevgruppe, die wiederum Teil der Albula-Alpen ist. Mit dem Piz Grevasalvas hat der Piz Lunghin zudem einen Fast-Dreitausender als Nachbarn.

Piz Lunghin is a much-visited, from the north easily accessible summit offering a formidable view to Oberengadin and Bregaglia.

2013年7月6日 · Aufstieg zum Pass Lunghin ab 2300m alles über tragende Schneefelder. Querung zum Piz Lunghin ebenfalls tragend, dann aper über den Grat zum Gipfel. Abstieg 50m unter dem Gipfel über Schneefelder angenehm zum noch gefrorenen Lägh da Lunghin mit zahlreichen Touristen.
