The Kidney Centre RPA is staffed by the dedicated clinicians, nurses, allied health workers from the department of Renal Medicine at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital is one of Australia’s premier hospitals. It is recognised as a pioneer in patient care – and is a world leader in healthcare excellence, research and innovation. In addition, it is home to the state’s first virtual hospital rpa virtual and it is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney.

Early works commenced in 2021 as part of the NSW Government’s accelerated program. One of the first projects to be completed was the New Kidney Centre RPA. This new purpose-built facility is located in the Professor Marie Bashir Centre (PMBC). The Renal Dialysis service moved into the new facility in December 2021.

The Missenden Mental Health Unit redevelopment provides future capacity to meet the demand for additional mental health facilities and ambulatory care services. The capital budget for this project was $67 million, with the NSW Government contributing $57 million and University of Sydney providing $10 million.
