Early on in the pandemic I made an Emerald Battle Frontier team, and using some admittedly suboptimal IV Pokemon I managed to get all the Silver Medals except the Battle Palace, plus my first Gold Medal ever in the Battle Dome.

The battle frontier is imo moreso a better concept than in execution, especially in emerald. The idea of 7 new battle facilities with bosses at the end that really focus on the limits of the battle system and have some really interesting twists is genuinely awesome, but it straight up is just crazy hard, like unfairly so, because of how difficult it is to get a proper IV and EV trained ...

2023年1月18日 · Slaking could also run Adamant but that's a preference. Jolly is maybe better as frontier really appreciates speed Dragonite should have some speed EVs if not 252 (instead of HP). Metagross could run some speed EVs to hit 117 speed (as in Werster team) in level 50 frontier to outspeed a suicune of a brain. But full hp investment is also fine

2021年8月23日 · The Battle Frontier is a fancied up Battle Tower, always has been. I dont know if you've tried the Battle Towers between Gen 6 and Gen 8 but they are absolute slogs, that also goes for Gen 2 to 4 Battle Towers. Something like the Battle Chateau was a lot of fun, where you move up ranks and the place evolves a little bit.

2022年9月6日 · One last thing; EQ is very popular in the battle frontier as a whole. For battle factory, if a strong flying type or levitator is available, I like to choose it, since it is very easy to read when an enemy AI will use earthquake. After several matches, you should be able to know generally what sort of pokemon are prone to running earthquake sets.

2023年6月14日 · You can do this with basically any pokemon. The 'rs' means Ruby/Sapphire which basically specifies that you're looking for gen 3 results. For example, 'charizard dp' will give you gen 4 results. Note that not all competitive sets will directly correlate to the Battle Frontier.

2016年3月2日 · Love the Emerald Battle Frontier. I was only able to get all of the silvers, not the Gold. The Slaking, Latios, and Milotic team was the exact three Pokemon I used to get the Battle Tower symbol, just with different sets. The highest steaks I had was 48 in Level 50 Doubles in Battle Factory and 30 twice in Open Level Singles Battle Factory.

2022年7月11日 · With that in mind it feels boring to beat this difficult challenge with the same team as everybody else. I'd prefer to win the Battle Frontier with a team of favorites using unique strategies that are specific to me. In a game so popular for it's endless options it feels counterproductive to focus on only the top tier Pokemon.
