2009年2月12日 · My understanding of the Polywell's potential limitations is the efficiency of electron ( and thus ion) containment through the Wiffle Ball effect and avoidance of real obsticles - like the wire cathode in the center of the classical Hirsch Farnsworth Fusor( or Elmore Tuck and Watson version that is closer to the Polywell operating mode).

Having a stable funding is an important part of enabling long term planning for different milestones and scaling up towards fusion energy production. I have a hard time seeing that large and long term funding could be raised from crowd funding sources.
