2018年12月29日 · Ok I have managed to resolve the issue. This was an arduous process. The crankcase vent valve becomes brittle over a period of time and takes a hit every time there is a change in weather temperature. Mercedes recommends changing this valve every 50k miles. Unfortunately, this is just after the warranty expires.

Including a nitrous oxide (NOX) sensor sampling the contents of the vapor canister and a vacuum pump to assure that positive crankcase ventilation. The dealership likely wants to replace everything.

2021年8月13日 · Yes, I will admit this was amoung one of the most difficult repairs I have done. You are facing a $2,000.00 repair bill to replace the crankcase ventilation system. The part from a Mercedes dealer is over $900.00 and the flat rate labor is 5 hours but don't be suprised if the actual labor is north of 7 hours.

2018年10月16日 · Welp fast forward to this afternoon, getting in the car afterwork. Check engine light comes on. I run my scanner and pull P052E - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Regulator Valve. Not sure about this now. Couldn't find anything relevant to GLA in regards to this code.

2019年2月15日 · 2 days ago i get check engine light and my BlueDriver gives this fault code. I bring it to local MB dealer. they said diagnostic shows the code with explanation: "The valve for crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. The actuator is blocked". they said its not the same as the PCV valve. They told me its a $2500 repair. 10 hrs labor and $800 parts!

2020年1月29日 · If you have a code P052E stored in your OBD-II vehicle, it means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected a signal from the crankcase pressure sensor that indicates an inappropriate degree of pressure exists. This has been covered in this Forum in detail. Use the search function for PVC valve (positive crankcase ventilation).

It is a pressure sensor that is used to make sure there is pressure change between the filter and the turbo inlet as that is needed to verify operation of the crankcase ventilation system. If there is too great a pressure change, there will be a CEL, if there is no pressure change, there will be a CEL.
