However, full-thickness skin grafting (FTSG) has gained in popularity to achieve more satisfactory results. The aim of the study is to identify the best RFF donor site closure technique by comparing the functional and aesthetic outcomes of STSG and FTSG.

After the first 24 hours, remove both pressure dressings. Wound care should be performed two times daily. Graft: Gently cleanse twice daily around the tie-on dressing with a Q-tip moistened with half-strength hydrogen peroxide. Dry with a clean Q-tip and then apply Vaseline around the edge of the tie-on dressing.

After socket reconstruction, using a post-auricular FTSG, 96% of the cases (25 of 26) demonstrated a successful prosthetic fitting and a satisfactory cosmetic outcome. Both good eyelid function and a stable fornix depth were maintained during the follow-up time.
