The Potez 650 was a French-built military transport aircraft that saw service in World War II. Derived from the Potez 62 airliner, the 650 was specifically built for paratrooper units.

The Potez 650 mainly equip the I/601 and I/602 Transport Squadrons, and are used by the Air Infantry Groups GIA 601 and GIA 602, the first French parachute units.

Potez (pronounced [pɔtɛz]) was a French aircraft manufacturer founded as Aéroplanes Henry Potez by Henry Potez at Aubervilliers in 1919. The firm began by refurbishing war-surplus SEA IV aircraft, but was soon building new examples of an improved version, the Potez SEA VII.

2021年8月9日 · The Potez 650 was first deployed with the French Air Force's I/601 and I/602 Transport Squadrons. Subsequently, the first airborne units in France , GIA 601 and GIA 602, will also be deployed for troop transport. Subsequently , two Potez transport aircraft were also deployed to the CIP (airborne training center) in Avignon.

Les Potez 650 seront utilisés pendant la courte campagne de France, pour transporter hommes et matériels jusqu'à l'Armistice, date à partir de laquelle tous vols furent interdits. Ce n'est qu'après Mers El Kebir que cette interdiction est levée.
