I have dual boot configuration with Fedora and Windows XP. Keyboard is normal US standard keyboard. Now that I am working for a UK based client, I need to use pound sign quite often. Currently I am copy pasting it, and it is a bit annoying. If it is possible to type pound sign using US keyboard, then that will be great.

2023年8月21日 · I have the exact same problem. Since about a week, when I accept the two factor call from Microsoft and repeatedly press the hash-key, nothing happens. After a few seconds, something like "sorry, we can't sign you in at the moment" is said and the call is terminated. I have the feeling that the hash-key is somehow not detected by Microsoft.

2015年8月7日 · Guys, with all the tec there is out there it should be possible to just have the $ sign on a US keyboard produce a pound sign instead. I have a US keyboard, live in England, don't want to change the rest of the keyboard as too much faff remembering where everything is, but want a pound sign when I press the currency key.

2014年1月21日 · Then press shift+3 to get the pound symbol and hit winkey+space to go back to US keyboard. A possible solution: get the Microsoft keyboard layout creator tool and remap a key combination to write the £ symbol.
