2020年11月29日 · racetech or a fia cert seat are the best built..kirky is comfy though..i have 7 bad disc an cant sit long yet i can pass out in my kirky. if i was getting a new seat id grab a fia approved one with a halo built in for helmet support or the racetech which is the same style especially if the car has a funny car cage.

2013年3月24日 · X2 on the Pour In Place seat insert but I vote for the Kirkey seat. 20 years ago we were making them with the two part foam from the hardware store, but there is undoubtedly something more suited for the purpose nowadays.

They are mounted to the seats to keep the driver from moving around in a crash. That racer that got ejected either didn't have his belts on or they were extremely loose. A 7 point harness with a junk seat is still Russian roulette.

What does everyone use for center head stud/ nut on AFR 227's?
2011年6月11日 · I've been directed to AFR part # 6301, which is an "abbreviated" nut. From what I understand, they are made by ARP specifically for this problem. The kit contains 6 smaller diameter nuts for all 6 problem locations on the 227's. The AFR kit is $25. I'll still have to grind the washers, though. Thanks for the help and replies. Frank
