2022年11月21日 · The $15 HF purple gun can be used to lay down a really nice paint job by a good painter. My main complaint against it is that the trigger is stiff compared to other guns and that can cause some old guys like me with arthritis in my hands problems.

2020年1月19日 · The HF purple gun is great for epoxy primer. For 2K high build primer, the Vaper guns from Northern Tool with a 1.8 or 2.0 tip are good and fairly cheap alternatives as the 1.4 tip on the purple gun isn't big enough for spraying high build.

2016年5月26日 · Couple of good youtube videos on modifying tip size, the purple only comes in, I believe 1.4, I did the modification and it shot better for primer. I use the HF guns, industrial enamel, woodworking, even shot epoxy thru one to recoat a bathtub when remodeling.

2022年10月18日 · Never used an Astro gun, but have heard amazing feedback on the Black Widow from HF. I use a Techna Copper, Iwata LPH 440, Devillbis FinishLine & an off brand primer gun with a 2.5 tip for high build primers.

2021年3月12日 · I've sprayed similar products with both types of guns. I found most products today spray better with hvlp guns. I was old school and hate change but had to get use to a hvlp gun after using a siphon gun for 20 years. Now I love the hvlp gun. Word of caution clean, clean that gun immediately after using. I lost a few guns not cleaning them in time.

2017年7月5日 · I regulate at the compressor to 70 lbs, and regulate at the gun 25-35. Primer ill run more pressure. It does depend on the gun and tip, your sprayout when setting your gun pattern will override all of it. Good youtube videos on proper spray pattern if you want a reference.

2011年8月16日 · It depends on how much filling you need. U-POL is the best stuff I've shot in my 34 years of painting. REFACE is their Polyester Fill Primer. UP - 2225 Urethane is their High Build Urethane Primer. www.autobodytoolmart.com sells the U-POL UP2252 stuff. TCP Global sells the REFACE www.tcpglobal.com. I won't use anything else.

2008年4月19日 · I bought a Devillebis Starting line set for $165 canadian and I love them. The 1.8 primer gun works great for flake. I use the 1.3 for enamels and single stage ureathane, 1.5 for clears. Awesome value.
