"Primeval" doesn't really bring anything new to the man-eater genre that hasn't already been seen in movies such as "Crocodile" or "Alligator", or "Jaws" for that matter. The storyline is simple and straight forward; a group of people go looking for a massive crocodile named Gustave in Africa.
