Since his creation in 1967 by artist Arch Drummond, Julius Pringle has been the face of Pringles, a brand that has captured the hearts (and taste buds) of millions.

Until 1988, Pringles was spelt with an apostrophe before the "s". The mascot Mr. Pringle was designed in 1967, with this logo design. In 1986, Mr. Pringle's face became rounder, his eyes were more apparent and his mustache was slightly changed.

Sadly, Julius Pringles wasn’t a real guy. We know the potato chip shaped face was designed by Louis R. Dixon in 1967. The name is what people tend to disagree on. The name Pringles is usually associated with one of two plausible theories.
