2014年7月9日 · Normally, a PCV valve placed uprights but prius has it horizontally, so this makes liquids get out of valve after combustion. Therefore, it trigger clogging around intake manifold, and the starting point of a blown head gasket, which will occur eventually.

2013年8月3日 · I've seen some posts where people have removed the wiper arm assemblies and the cowl to replace the spark plugs and Vent Valve subassembly (PCV). This is not necessary, if you have or buy a tool. It's a 19mm reversible ratcheting combination wrench. I consulted the repair manual and replace my plugs and PCV with much less trouble.

2015年4月1日 · I've changed PCV before, twice, and both times I found the old PCV to be in good condition. So it's no longer a priority for that maintenance item. I'll do it on this car and see if things change

2021年2月16日 · That’s a lot better place for a PCV valve than the 3rd gen Prius engines, where it is far down under the intake and sucks oil in all the time. Lol just happened to me last year.
