My ProMag eighteen round mags will accept eighteen rounds but the last two or three rounds are more difficult to load because of the stiff mag springs. You may find "hood style" magazine loaders (like the ones we use with the OEM Glock G44 magazine), but more commonly you'll find "wrap-around style" magazine loaders that catch the small load-assist tabs on either side of the magazine.
