Solution that worked for me: Go to C:\Program files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading If it's not empty, delete everything from that folder and try to download again (these should be the pubg files that you were downloading earlier, they are cached there and they are taking ~40gb of your storage)

2024年5月28日 · Steam takes a long time as well, but steam is just better. I prefer steam as it doesn’t do the annoying ads and requests that show OVER the game in the bottom right that don’t disappear unless you click x, and the requests just pop up on start ever freaking time until you accept or reject them.

2022年12月11日 · Though PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS played through Epic Games Store will be providing the exact same service as Steam. However, the Epic Games Store and steam are two different platforms, both accounts are different and will operate independently. You have to create a new profile in the Epic Games Store to play PUBG from the Epic Games Store platform.

Do note that you don't only uninstall PUBG from steam but completely remove any related files from the root folder. - Uninstall PUBG Go to your Steam library Right Click on PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and select Uninstall A window will pop up asking for confirmation, click on Delete

If you google "failed to initialize steam pubg" or something similar, I have tried literally every link on the first 3 pages of Google. Most of them say the same things anyway. I would imagine that this could be tied to the recent Free To Play Update.

2022年3月10日 · When Steam installs the game, it puts a shortcut on the desktop. On Windows 11 pinned it to my taskbar. Whenever I launch the game, I launch it from my taskbar. On a whim, I tried launching the game using the desktop icon. This time a little Steam window showed that there was an update, so I let it update and then launched the game.

2024年1月12日 · Make sure you are running Steam as administrator before opening PUBG. Open Task Manager, and kill Explorer.exe before Alt+Tabbing to steam to open PUBG. Once it opens and is running (if it does) then Alt+Tab back to task manager and run Explorer.exe again. Upgraded the Ryzen 5 1500X to a Ryzen 5 5600 and the need to do that workaround went away.

I decided to migrate to steam including uninstalling through Epic, but now it seems like I can't link my accounts and somehow all my Epic stuff is left in an account I cannot reach.
