QUT Motorsport is a student-run motorsport team that single seat electric and autonomous race cars for the Formula SAE-A competition. Our third generation of the 'QMX' series, QMX-III was our first car to finish top ten overall at the FSAE-A Competition.

We officially gained the title of the first Australian Formula SAE team to complete a four-wheel-drive electric vehicle. Lando was also QUT Motorsport’s first car to have a carbon fibre chassis with the help of a new partner, LSM Advanced Composites. This allowed us to save half the weight of our 2019 car, QEV-2, saving a total of 25 kg!

Our Team is composed of students from a diverse field of degrees with a strong presence in engineering and business. Our project is to design, manufacture, manage, and market a single seater, electric race car for the FSAE-A competition.

QEV-4 is the first 600V High Voltage vehicle that QUT Motorsport has produced, with these being mated to 2 German Fisher Motors with Sevcon inverters, boards and cooling jackets. Version 2 of our custom wireless telemetry system, on-board driving mode selection system through our steering wheel screen.
