2019年3月29日 · Honestly don't see the point with upgrades to the qbz191 the handguard and butt stock holds up well and the recoil of the qbz191 isn't high either unlike the AR-15 which needs proper CQB Stance during close range encounters if anything MLOK Urgi is just some beauty contest bullshit for the qbz191 rather than having some use for it.

I think generally what would work against QBZ191 is not necessarily the ubiquity of the AR and AK style rifles, but simply it is a "luxury" item. QBZ191 is all about modularity, mounting different optics, accessories (typical 21st century stuff).

2019年3月29日 · I wasn’t really pointing to the drum specifically. QBB95 and QBZ95, QBZ191 and QBU 191 are generally speaking just Heavy barrel iterations. The magazine well is the same the only major difference is the longer heavier barrel. Same general concept as the Aug HBAR, L86A1, the XM8/Mg36, even (ignoring receiver reinforcements) the RPK series.

Isn't the handguard in the picture just the same handguard we've seen before which we've had an image (tan version) and also a patent of? (and designed for standard QBZ-191, which is why it has the front cutout at the handguard for the gas block/adjsuter)
