The QJ (Chinese: 前进; pinyin: Qián Jìn; lit. 'To go forward" or "to advance') was a type of heavy freight steam locomotive introduced in 1956 by the China Railway. The majority were built by Datong Locomotive Factory.

QJ 6800 does reside in Jixi CNR Depot, or so we were told, we didn't actually get in to see it, however Dave Fielding had the picture off the internet, we could see what looked like the structure surrounding it and the security seemed to acknowledge it was there, although we could not raise anyone in authority in the time available.

2009年12月5日 · I picked up one of those QJ models from China recently. It is the 6800 Iron Bull version. The model is really detailed, I was a little surprised. It seemed to run pretty well on the layout. It has white LEDs for the forward and reverse lights. The electric pickups are in the tender and a connector sends the power to the locomotive.
