2025年2月20日 · Option 3. Run a Disk Check scan. a. Open Cmd as administrator. b. Execute the command below. chkdsk /f /r C. Type 'Y' to run the disk check scan during the next reboot. Restart your computer and run the quick scan again. Note - If you have any other third-party Antivirus software, uninstall it and run the quick scan. I hope this information helps.

2023年10月5日 · Hello, so when i do a quick scan it takes around 20 seconds or so. It scans 32000 thousand files roughly. I think my quick scan is missing something due to it scanning a small amount of files and it being done so quickly. I do have a samsung 980 PRO with read speeds of up to 7000MBS a second. Still i think my Quick Scan is skipping alot of files.

2022年10月13日 · The tasktray has the WD shield with a yellow exclamation. I go into settings and choose the type of scan. I have the options of Quick/Full/Custom/Offline and I chose Quick Scan and it starts, moves right along for a bit and then stalls, however it's still checking files, but apparently so slow that it will take hours, but progress bar has stopped.

2024年2月26日 · Thanks for the reply. I tried all options Repair Reset Uninstall and did a restart after each option. Still no scan option in Windows Defender. Unless it is somewhere else as it is not where it used to be. Do you have defender on a pc to see where it is located and scan option is available. I have always just used Defender for my desk top security.

2020年7月18日 · I have a Windows 10 S Mode and the security icon by the clock says it needs a quick scan. I started the quick scan. It has been showing a scan in progress with dots moving across the screen for sometime. I have restarted the computer but it still needs a scan. The hard drive is only 64 gig so it shouldn't take this much time to complete.

2019年2月11日 · Ran a full scan a week ago then tried to go back to quick scan today. Quick scan will not run. Shows 35 hours to complete whatever scan is running. I canceled it and tried again, still no quick scan.

2024年3月7日 · This does not answer how to scan, because the option did not seem to exist on my s mode system. The windows "Virus and threat protection" just had "No action needed" However, this addresses the reason i was trying to scan. I was trying to scan because i thought i had an issue/malware or something on my system.
