2007年8月31日 · I have an R1200S and just joined the forum I hear a lot of good things about the R1200S. I just got one last June after a test ride and am loving it. I have made about 8,000 miles and enjoy every second. it is so much fun. It is so easy to ride and handles the curves great. Taking it cross country in three weeks.

2013年11月22日 · Just to document, the R1200S engine is the highest horsepower rated version of all hexheads--122 hp. This is more than any camhead, save, I imagine, for the HP2. Same hierarcy for Oilheads, too, i.e R1100S at 98 the highest.

2017年7月22日 · The BikeMaster Lithium Ion battery DLFP14-BS fits like a glove into the battery compartment of my 2007 R1200S. No shims needed at all, and well secured by the factory retaining strap. The special charger hasn't arrived yet, but the battery was charged up enough to crank the engine without any problems.

2020年2月21日 · I’m curious about the value of a R1200S. It’s yellow, custom seat, ABS, wide rear tire, Ohlins, Full SS exhaust system. 42,000 miles, good mechanical condition, fair cosmetic. I have the stock exhaust system for it. May sell or trade it in for a late model R1200/1250RT.

2008年4月18日 · Ride an R1200S aggressively here and very pleased with the Metzeler Sportec M3's that came with the bike new. Have continued to place them. Never once have they given me a reason to lose confidence in them. Very important to me. I can get about 3.5-4K out of the rear. Not the best longevity but can't deny its grip in all kinds of conditions. HTH.

2007年11月11日 · Kinda like the R1200ST. BMW NA no longer imported it while it remained available overseas. There is an '08 R1200S but not for sale in the U.S. You can talk to your dealer about this and see if they can get you one, but I wouldn't be optimistic. There is no change for '08 and the dealer would probably try to get an unsold '07 from another dealer.

2012年6月7日 · Recently purchased a very nice '07 R1200s. However, I have noticed when I start off there is what appears to be a rattle sound from the engine, maybe transmission. Disappears when not loading the engine. Sounds fine on the road at steady speed. It almost sounds like a cam chain flopping around or something like that.
