Even if CBTC allows the 7 express to run to its full potential, which might be around 60-65 mph between Queensboro Plaza and Willets Point, it won't be at that speed long enough for streamlining to save that big a percentage of energy.

2019年3月21日 · Enjoy this very fast ride on a from Queensboro Plaza to Flushing-Main St. We had a very good T/O, hitting 50 MPH just after 74 St, and entering Junction Blvd at just about 49 (!) MPH. I noticed one very important thing: the train doesn’t crawl on the way down to Mets–Willets Point! Very good T/O? I think you mean very good CBTC.

The R188 is an A Division new technology (NTT) car constructed by the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Rolling Stock Company for the New York City Subway. The MTA is displacing the R62As from the 7 < 7 > services with these cars to automate the IRT Flushing Line .
