2009年8月9日 · Yes. The R40a's are a second sub order for the R40, the R40(M) is much more similar to the R42 than the original R40. The layout of certain things is more more similar between R40a and R42. The modified R40a are all most indistinguishable from the R42 aside from the outer body skin which has the telltail ribbing and c curve between the 2 angles.

2009年7月1日 · Thanks, but just curious, is there enough R40A/R42s to cover the (V)ictor? Or is there half R46 and R40A/42s running? Nice catch! There should be they only got 8 or 10 trains on the whole line. I am no longer working the Line so I can't tell you what is there but I would have been having fun if they only did this a few weeks earlier.

The R40A is similar to the R40, but R40A was originally delivered with air conditioning units. As a result of the air conditioning, the standee poles are arranged in diagonal patterns rather than the straight line of the R40. The R40A slant version was the last 100 cars to be built with the end slant (numbers 4350-4449).
