The R99 has very little recoil. The recoil pattern is up and to the right slightly. To adjust you aim it down and slightly to the left. Every gun has a recoil pattern. You adjust your aim in the opposite way from the recoil to keep it stable.

There are 3 ways I usually try to circumvent this: Hipfire. Hipfire recoil is significantly different from regular recoil, and I don't mean the spray pattern. Guns like the R-99 and RE-45 when hipfired will go up, then arc back down slightly, which is VERY different from their actual ADS recoil pattern.
