2022年5月8日 · Check your RAM usage when you use other applications like Office, browsers, etc, while running MSFS. If you don't have over 90% RAM usage, I wouldn't buy the extra RAM. I have 32 GB of RAM myself and I keep all my other applications open (Chrome, Firefox, Word, Excel, etc) when playing MSFS, but I play in 1080p.

I doubt this will affect many around the world, but I was so looking forward to MSFS2024 especially the open world and AI tech that has been included but it seems this technology may still be out of reach for some of us until our broadband technology catches up and prices become more affordable.

2024年11月30日 · MSFS2024 was pulling 17-22gigs of RAM on its own, with FSHUD almost capping me at 31. It was when my RAM usage was almost spent (or spent in some cases) that the lag hit, FPS dropped to 2 and, even while testing crashed to desktop. I don't think the Asobo team accounted for addons when then mentioned RAM usage.

2025年3月6日 · And I wasn't using any add-ons for MSFS 2024 when it CTDed on me. And my RAM even passed MemTest, although that MemTest was a year ago. But somehow, MSFS 2024 managed to take advantage of my defective RAM, that even MemTest could not find problems with (unless my RAM became defective in the year since I did the MemTest).

2022年7月7日 · According to Windows 11, my system is completely up to date with all software. I have been hearing about some sort of memory leak in Windows 11 and wonder if this might be the problem. Never had a lick of problem with Window 10 and X-Plane 11. I am running a i9-9900K (not over clocked) with 32 Mbs of ram and a 2080 GPU. Storage is a 2 Tb ssd.

HWiNFO will show whether you are page filing or not - very easy...
