It has been around for over 4 years in BMW, Rolls Royce and several other upscale cars. The ZF8 has a torque rating around 520 foot pounds, the 6 speed is rated maximum around 420 foot pounds. So the 8 speed is much more robust.

2013年1月29日 · I test drove some 6 speed Hemi Rams and was disappointed in the performance. I ordered the 8 speed. Don't let anybody fool you, there is a world of difference. The 8 speed and 3.92 gears really wakes up these trucks. Bunch of people who don't have the 8 speed want to complain about the rotary shifter. It took me maybe 1 minute to get used to it.
