2020年7月7日 · I have received a file of the type .rcs - it is a 3D-scan of a building. I have also been given a link to NavisWorks viewer Freedom2018 - a free application to view such files. I have installed this application (Navisworks Freedom) - but don't know how to open a file.

After you collect the raw data, it must be converted to readable point cloud files. Autodesk ReCap converts raw scan data to scan files (RCS files), and project files (RCP files) that reference multiple RCS files. Both these formats can be attached to an AutoCAD drawing.

Point Clouds (*.rcs): Pick an indexed point cloud file with .rcs extension. For File name, select the file(s) or specify the file name(s). Tip: Press the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple files.

2024年4月17日 · Linking RCS files directly can allow for less complex folder structure and data sharing. One link is created for multiple scan locations (especially for structured point clouds), making managing links easier. Linking an RCP file allows Regions to be displayed, and a separate Override can be applied based on them.

2025年1月31日 · RCP and RCS files (created by ReCap Pro) can be attached using the POINTCLOUDATTACH command. Note: These point cloud file types are treated as references and are not editable in AutoCAD. AutoCAD Map 3D can also import ASCII survey points. See: Import ASCII Points dialog box.

2018年1月17日 · I'm currently using CADWORX plant professional we received RCS scans of our refinery and I'm attempting to pipe the scan with intelligent piping components and I'm having a difficult time seeing the pipes and placing them in the right XYZ.
