2005年1月27日 · My references describe PC10 as either a range of hues between Methuen 3(E/F)8 to almost 5F8, or as (nearest FS595a) 14087 (average). Most model paint ranges cover this colour. "Unbleached linen fabric, doped" is given as being near to FS595a 13617.

2019年3月21日 · Though it does'nt provide an exact shade of paint, there's a quote from the late Dan-san Abbott that I've kept filed away: 'The RNAS were not permitted to use PC10, and RFC patent and they developed their own color which was a greenish shade of olive drab.'

2010年12月14日 · As someone who has long believed the PC10 pigmentation to have been a mixture of yellow ochre and lampblack it was a surprise to find an AID approved 1916 RAF formula citing yellow ochre (40 lbs), umber (30 lbs), red ochre (40 oz), Chinese blue (25 oz for darkening) and lampblack ("few ounces" only where further darkening was required).

I don't want to mix paints to get the colour, so the question is what's the best Vallejo or Tamiya paint for this shade of green? Thanks very much.

Changeover to PC10 for Be-2c 13 Sqn RFC?
2025年1月22日 · According to movement summaries 4076 was lost on 21 July 1916 ‘Pancaked into corn to avoid somersault’ landing from an artillery patrol. I’ve identified about 51 Be-2c which movement summaries indicate were allocated to 13 Sq in France (obviously there could be errors/gaps). One (4084) is recorded as ‘hit cow on t/o’ 🙂.

2007年5月30日 · PC 10 was the standard. I've had different batches from Xtracolour that have been greener or browner. I think that's reasonable. The uppersurface colour , on RFC/RNAS aircraft , on the wings , wrapped around to show as an edge on the underside .
