2021年9月7日 · I decided to order Mr. Color's RLM 79 based on some well done Bf-109 builds that used it, but was surprised that it was very close to the Hataka RLM 79 brown, which seems too dark and doesn't seem to match the color I saw in those builds. I guess my question(s) are -- should the Bf-109 desert color be more tan or more brown?

Somewhere after November 1941, RLM 78 was changed to a slightly lighter shade, while RLM 79 was changed to a darker, browner shade. RLM 80 wasn’t always used, especially on later fighters such as Bf 109’s and Fw 190’s

2008年11月26日 · There is no 79a, only 79. The true Farbton 79 is a darker brown then the more yellow color that was originally (and incorrectly) associated with 79. As already explained here, the lighter color was one of the Italian sand colors.

RLM – COLOURS OF THE GERMAN LUFTWAFFE The aircrafts of the German LW (Luftwaffe) in WWII were painted with standardized paints. Vallejo Model Air Sand Yellow RLM79 71.278 is a water based acrylic matt color developed especially for airbrush techniques for painting models and miniatures.

Comments to RLM-79: At the beginning of the war in Africa RLM-79 sand - brown was used. This paint was propably in Italian stocks. Later on RLM-79 sand - yellow was used, which was paler then sand - brown.
