Sep 1, 2023 · I have been on a verge of selling my RM2 a few times. One even added a "paper like" screen cover to my iPad mini 6 to get a comparable feed for writing on that. In the end of the day, RM2 has one killer feature that makes it all worth the cost and other shortcomings: RM2 is 100% distraction free, making it the best device for thinking.

As you may know, finding documentation on how to apply hacks/mods and customization to our RM2, what is compatible and what is not, is not so easy yet, with majority of informations being targeted for RM1. But a lot of things are moving and many of the things intended for RM1 are starting to support RM2 as well.

Dec 11, 2022 · Is the RM2 still worth it, even though there are some really good alternatives, which offer much newer technology? My gut feeling is telling me, that I should wait for a possible RM3 in 2024 or 2025, because the RM2s lacking seamless integration, 8 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and old CPU are just not up to date anymore.

Jul 13, 2021 · I was thinking about getting an RM2, but realised I would lose a lot of functionality that I have with my iPad Pro, like the ability to manipulate photographs in Affinity photo with the Apple Pencil and use One Note to make quick lists and sync up to my work computer for collaboration with my colleagues.

Apr 10, 2023 · One thing in RM2’s favour compared with say an iPad is that the battery lasts longer on a charge, so you’ll have fewer charge/discharge cycles per year. Given that an iPad battery typically lasts for a few years, I’d expect the RM2 battery life to be in decades.

so it depends on your use case. if you're simply taking notes, stick with rm2. if you take complex interrelated notes, get the supernote. i carry both the big rm2 and the small supernote. for longer notetaking, i'll pull out the rm. for quick notes, I'll pop out the supernote.

Oct 10, 2022 · - Added the template to templates.json on RM2 Templates work great on RM2, but there are two problems: - Pages with a custom template do not show the template on iPhone/Mac/iPad when syncing over Remarkable cloud there - RM2 firmware update removes the templates - including from documents that were using them previously.

The rM2's hardware definitely felt more refined than the Note Air, especially the out of the box stylus. The Note Air stylus felt like a cheap Bic ballpoint - very light, flimsy - while the rM2 stylus felt a lot more solid and was slightly heavier.
