2006年9月17日 · Just about everything is new: cap, rotor, magnecor wires, those RN9YC plugs, the engine was rebuilt out of Oregon by British Auto Works. I bridged the HT lead with a screwdriver to #1 cylinder and she backfired. I pulled the dizzy and spun it 180, still no go. Neither the old plugs nor the new are doing jack.

2006年2月11日 · The only difference between a Champion N9YC and RN9YC, is that the RN9YC has a resistor built into it (hence the R) to eliminate interference with the radio and other electronics.

Anybody using Champion N9YC spark plugs on their MGB?
2024年1月6日 · I've put hundreds of thousands of miles on both Champion and NGK plugs. Never had a problem with either. For some people it's a Chevy vs. Ford thing, they just have a preference and won't use (or say anything nice about) anything else. I've used both N9YC an RN9YC in a few engines. Very good plugs.

2010年6月24日 · I have a 1979 MGB and it would appear that the Champion RN9YC is the recommended spark of choice. I live in San Diego so it is a warm climate and it is also my understanding that the NGK's are good but run hotter. Any thoughts as to what I should use? Thanks, Scot Edited 1 time(s).
