这个导航允许误差叫RNP（Required Navigation Performance）。 如果是这个航段最大允许X海里，那么也写作RNAV X。 很显然，如果某个航段的RNP是2海里，机载设备又满足RNAV 2的标准，那么就可以飞这个航段，机载设备只满足RNAV10的就不要飞这个航段了。

目前我国民航系统可以提供非精密进近程序的方式有：vor进近、vor/dme进近、ndb进近、ndb/dme进近、rnav（gnss）（rnp apch）进近和rnp（ar）进近。其中rnav（gnss）（rnp apch）进近和rnp（ar）进近由于精度相比传统非精密进近高，又被称为类精密进近。
