A simple, GM/GS synthesizer keyboard, the JV-35 shares the exact same synth engine as the JV-50 - the only difference between the two is the Standard MIDI File playback capability on the JV-50 through its built-in 3-1/2" disk drive.

The JV-35 supports both General MIDI and Roland GS. Polyphony can be increased with the VE-GS1 voice expansion board, which doubles the polyphony to 56. The sound ROM can be expanded with the VE-JV1 expansion board, which contains 4MB of waveform data and 512 preset patches.

The ROLAND JV-35 is a 16-Part multitimbral, 28-voice polyphonic, GS/GM compatible synthesizer, with 226 Tones and 9 Drum Sets. An additional 256 User Tones and 9 User Drum Sets can be customized and stored by the user.

The Roland JV-35 is a digital synthesizer released by Roland Corporation in 1993 and discontinued in 1996. It was the successor to the Roland JV-30 and was part of the JV series of synthesizers but based on the SC-55 Sound Canvas sound engine.
