RQ3 retains the ability to improve skills above 100%, allowing to increased probability of special or critical successes. RQ3 also retains the infamous Resistance Table – check my review of RQ2 to get a glimpse of it (and I still don’t like it).

2017年4月6日 · The new edition of the iconic roleplaying game RuneQuest will be formally known as RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha, or 'RQG' for short, Chaosium announced today. First published by Chaosium in 1978, over the ensuing decades the RuneQuest game has gone through a number of editions with different publishers and licensees.

2024年5月26日 · Fortunately, Games Workshop soon acquired a license from Chaosium and Avalon Hill to produce their own version of the RQ3 rules and some of its supplements. The Games Workshop version of RQ3 repackaged the three AH booklets from the Deluxe set (Players, Magic, and Gamemasters) into the RuneQuest and Advanced RuneQuest books.

The game system receives an overall distinction and is backed with excellent scope and depth of information for play. The language, production, layout and art are of acceptable quality, but also lending to evocative, mythic and heroic play. Even after twenty-seven years, RQ3 still makes a fair pitch to the title of "best RPG of all time".

2006年12月18日 · RQ3 has conversion notes for converting stuff from RQ2. It really isn't that dramatic of a difference between the two, from the looks of the notes. I've never used or read RQ2 though.

2022年3月23日 · If you already know RQ3 then you might just stick with it. If you’re planning to run in Glorantha then I strongly recommend RQG because it supports the world very well.

RQ3 Standard was a massively cut down version of the RQ game. The game system is cut down, there's just a small set of monsters, and the spells are entirely decimated. (There are, for example, just 10 spirit magic spells in the standard edition.)
