2016年9月1日 · A novel peptide from tobacco was purified that caused rapid culture medium alkalinization and arrested root growth and development when over-expressed in tomato and Arabidopsis (Pearce et al., 2001).However, this peptide, termed rapid alkalinization factor (RALF), did not induce defense-signaling pathways, but unexpectedly, inhibited root growth when present in the surrounding medium.
