That should leave me somewhere between 20 & 40 for the CYA level, depending what the exact level is now (the CYA tube was full & the black dot still clearly visible). 2012年10月21日 · It will raise the CYA level almost as much as it will the FC level. Continued use of dichlor will cause a "death spiral" in that the CYA will rise to a point that it becomes impractical to maintain a sufficient FC level for day-to-day sanitation. The only solution at that point is a partial drain & refill along with ceasing the use of dichlor.

2017年5月19日 · I have the same 20k size pool and according to pool math a 3" 7oz trichlor tab will add 1.7ppm ppm CYA. I use them early in the season to raise my CYA until I hit 45ppm which is my sweat spot. I think testing for CYA under 20ppm may not be accurate.

Took a water sample into the local Leslie's today. FC is 3.76, PH is through the roof at 8.3, Calcium is a little low at 178, TA is 93,and CYA is at a record low of 13.

2009年5月4日 · If you had a cartridge filter the CYA would rise faster since you would not be backwashing. Bottom line is this. For every 10 ppm FC added by trichlor then you have also added 6 ppm CYA. The chlorine gets consumed but the CYA stays behind so, sooner or later, you WILL have an overstabilized pool!
